The COST Action EU-MACE will be holding its hybrid meeting/workshop at the University of Cyprus from September 4th through 6th, 2024.

During the set of meetings in Cyprus, MC members will oversee the progress of each tasks and GAPGs. More specifically,

• Collected results from MAP and expert listing will be presented. Based on the results, CG members will discuss the key areas of growth. (GAPG1, Task 1)

• New functional materials candidates along with their justifications/arguments will be presented. (GAPG 3, WG3)

• Possible training school (to be held in the GAP2) topics will be discussed. (GAPG4, WG4)

• Discussion on the methodologies for connecting SSbD (sustainability) experts to MAPs network (GAPG5, Task 3)

• Progress report on STMS and conference grants.

During the meeting, our objectives are

• to facilitate future collaborations between researchers across EU by learning how MAPs function and/or becoming the users of existing MAPs (i.e., inclusiveness)
• to enhance MAPs capabilities via gathering
• Prototype developers (Digital twin specialists, for example)
• Sustainability analysis tools developers
• MAP to MAP discussions
• to attract industries (scale-up production, software service providers, renewable energy technology developers….) to become aware of the benefits of MAPs
• to discuss and define future EU-MACE networking actions for building ONE Materials Ecosystem (as envisioned by the EC) while ensuring the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.

All the participants will receive a personal invitation through the e-COST Platform. Only the members that will participate in-person will be eligible for a reimbursement of travels, accommodation and daily expenses through the e-COST Platform.
